An itinerary by Nove Rocche that winds through the historical contrast between the lords of the Malatesta and the Montefeltro, characterized by clashes for the possession of the countless castles in the area.
The Conti Oliva and the Della Faggiola, whose presence in the village of Petrella Guidi is just one of the many suggestions aroused by the folds of local history, fit into the legendary dualism: from Dante's exile to the passage of Fra Matteo da Bascio - founder of the Order dei Cappuccini - Petrella Guidi has fascinated and captured the soul of intellectuals and personalities, to the point of becoming the ideal spiritual retreat for directors and poets such as Michelangelo Antonioni, Tonino Guerra and Wi m Wenders.
We will start from the village of Pennabilli and then visit the fortresses of Penna and Billi. Transfer to the village of Petrella Guidi: the town owes its name to Guido della Petrella, Feudatory of San Leo, who, having robbed Count Ludovico di Savoia, assumed the curious and legendary aura of an indigenous Robin Hood.
After lunch, the journey continues towards Rocca Pratiffi, an impregnable hill where a thirteenth-century settlement remains. Visit to the Romanesque parish church of San Pietro in Messa, dating back to the 12th century, and to the Diocesan Museum
